Who would have thought that there are so many common lingerie mistakes that women make every day?! Here you can read up on just a few of them as well as the best way to avoid them in the future!
1. Overlooking the Power of Matching Sets
Maybe you’re one of those people that just don’t have the time or see the point of wearing matching sets (I admit I’m sometimes one of them!) but did you know that wearing a matching underwear set can actually make you feel better physiologically? Who knew! So it’s a good thing to be so meticulous after all!
2. Storing Your Lingerie Incorrectly
It might be tempting to stuff away your lingerie at the end of the day, but did you know that doing this can actually cause the wires to get stuck and squashed easily? Unless you want all your fave lingerie ruined, maybe it’s a good time to stop shoving them away and to start putting them away carefully!
3. Only Having One Bra Size in Your Collection
You probably know what bra size you generally are (or have some idea, anyway) but it’s always worth remembering that your breasts actually change each month due to things like weight loss, your menstrual cycle or other healthy changes. This is why it’s always good to have various sizes ready to go for when these changes occur!
4. Not Owning Enough Underwear
It’s all well and good to have a favourite bra that you just love so much you can wear it every day…literally! But what about all your other bras hiding away in your drawers? When do they get a turn to be worn? You should try to rotate your bras as much as possible to get wear out of all of them, so try not to wear the same bra for more than two days in a row!
5. Skipping a Sports Bra Fitting
A sports bra fitting might seem like an odd thing to do – especially if you’ve already had a normal bra fitting – but it’s still useful to have done as your breasts need to be strapped in during exercise at all times – especially if you’re doing things like aerobics or running! It’s important to be prepared for any kind of activity, really.
6. Keeping Lingerie for Too Long
You may have a few expensive pieces of lingerie that you only wear for special occasions so that can be an exception for this one! But otherwise, if you have a bra that you constantly wear day in and day out, it might be time to consider trading it in for a new one (not literally!) for the sake of changing it up and being healthy!
7. Assuming You’re the Same Size in Every Store
This can be an easy one to get wrong as you’d think your bra size would be the same in every store, right? Unfortunately this isn’t always the case, which is why it’s so important to try bras on first before buying them – you never know if the sizing could be a little different to what you’re used to! I’ve made this mistake and have since found that your cup size can easily go up or down a size depending on the store and its sizing.
